Alex's first solo recording "Button Box Dynamite" was released in 1992- 30 years ago!! That album predominantly featured instrumental Button Box polkas and waltzes in the Cleveland Slovenian style. Recently, Alex has been revisiting these roots in the studio. These two tunes are examples of how Alex interprets this style with his band today. Chicago Larry's Polka honors a great friend and fan of the band- Larry Hodek, while Radio Olympia Polka was commissioned by a pirate radio station in the Netherlands that regularly features Alex's classic recordings. These tunes were released on a 45 rpm last year and are being made available on all of the streaming and download platforms so a greater audience can start hearing the more traditional side of Alex!
